Need Not Fear The Food Allergies With The Power of Ayurveda

When our immune system reacts abnormally after eating certain types of food, this is known as food allergy. Every body gives a different reaction to food it is allergic to. Sometimes you might start vomiting, it might show on your skin in the form of rashes, pimples might pop out, certain food might increase your pulse, feeling dizzy, nausea, facing difficulty in breathing, all these symptoms might show up.

Food allergy might not sound intense or a big problem but it can certainly work havoc on your health. Seek emergency treatment at the earliest in case you develop any symptoms or signs of anaphylaxis, such as:

  • Difficulty in breathing because of constriction of airways
  • A drastic drop in blood pressure
  • Rapidly increasing pulse
  • Lightheadedness or dizziness, nausea

#Causes

It happens when on eating something the immune system mistakenly identifies it as a threat and starts producing antibodies in response to the food. This trigger that is caused by any specific kind of food produces immunoglobulin E (IgE) to neutralize the allergy-causing or food substance (the allergen) or food.

The next time you eat even the smallest amount of the same food item, this time the IgE antibodies will sense it and send signals to your immune system to release chemical known histamine, as well as some other chemicals, into your bloodstream. These chemicals lead to some other allergy symptoms.

  • Shellfish, like shrimp, crab and lobster
  • Peanuts
  • Tree nuts, like pecans and walnuts
